Saturday about 1:00pm I returned to this spot on Elberta Beach. I've wanted to paint here since my visit last month. I was glad that the weather was warm. This 6" x 6" sketch is on gesso board. The foreground could use some reworking to fix the awkward brushstrokes.

Crystal River impression. This piece was toned with Quinacridone Magenta before painting.

You need to be able to step away from this one or squint at it. Definitely my color palette!

October 1, 2016 Collage of 29/30

Here they are! The last shall be first.

I did this collage very quickly in Pages. I will go back and fix the sizes on the desk top. It's a bit clumsy on my iPad. I think it still looks pretty impressive.

Next, to scale them up. I plan to use these 6"x6" pieces as thumbnail sketches for larger paintings. I have already begun with Muckross Garden (tall trees).
